Flipkart Beats TCS, Google, Amazon To Become Most Preferred Tech Company For Indian Employees

When it comes to technology-based companies, then there are several factors which contribute to make a company desirable for employees.

Salary and perks are no doubt, one of the most crucial ingredients, but what else? Company culture? Vision? Management’s attitude? Work pressure?

Linkedin has attempted to decode these mysteries, and have just announced the list of top tech companies in India, where Indian employees wish to work for.

And there are some major surprises out there!

Flipkart #1 Tech Company For Indian Employees

Flipkart, which was founded by Sachin and Binny Bansal from a 2-bhk flat in Bengaluru, has emerged as the #1 company preferred by Indian employees to work for.

Walmart has now acquired Flipkart for Rs 1.4 lakh crore.

As per Linkedin, leading job functions with the new hires are Product Management, Engineering and Education. There are 13,900 employees working for Flipkart in India.

This way, Flipkart has beaten companies like TCS, Amazon, Uber, Adobe and more.

It’s a big win for the company.

Amazon is at #2 position, and they have 50,000 employees in India.

Swiggy Beats Zomato In Ranking

Swiggy, which recently became a Unicorn and raised $1 billion in funding, is being favoured over Zomato and even TCS when it comes to working and employability.

Swiggy has been ranked #6 in the list of best places to work for, whereas Zomato, the company which started the food-tech industry in India has been ranked #8 in the list.

While Swiggy has 6000 employees working in India, Zomato has 4000.

YES Bank More Preferred Than ICICI Bank

Another stunning revelation in the report: YES Bank is preferred more by Indian employees when it comes to tech jobs, compared with ICICI Bank, which is India’s #1 private bank as of now.

While YES Bank has been ranked #14 with 21,200 employees in India, ICICI Bank has been ranked #20 with 85,000 employees in India.

TCS Has Most Number Of Employees In India

IT behemoth: TCS, which is world’s #1 IT services company, and India’s #1 IT company has most number of employees, as per the list prepared by Linkedin. With 4.17 lakh employees globally, TCS has been ranked #7 in the list, whereas World’s #1 digital company: Google has been ranked #9 with 98,000 employees globally.

Accenture, which is arch-rival of TCS in the IT space, has been ranked #18 with 1.5 lakh employees. IBM, another IT behemoth, has been ranked #15 with 1 lakh employees.
