Mi A3: Redmi Note 7 Pro On Android One?

While the newly launched Redmi Note 7 Pro is making news all around, the smartphone has been appreciated by both mass and tech critics. The smartphone packs in a solid camera, design, processor, display and most importantly, it comes at a very affordable pricing.

But, many users have been complaining about the user interface, the MIUI. It’s loaded with ads and it hampers the overall experience badly.

Though, if the UI is improved, the smartphone can’t get any better.

The Mi 9X leaked specs are very similar to Redmi Note 7 Pro. If the company launches the Mi 9X in India as Mi A3, it’s going to be like a Redmi Note 7 Pro running on Android One, a deadly combination.

Mi 9X / Mi A3: Specs & Features

The leaked specs of Mi 9X hint at being very similar to Redmi Note 7 Pro. Here’s the spec sheet:

Display

Mi 9X is rumored to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display in a 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio with a dot notch on top. The display is going to be very similar to Redmi Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9.

It will have a glass sandwich body with a metal ring in the middle. Mi 9X or Mi A3 will have a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating on both sides.

Processor & RAM

Mi 9X will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, the same chip which powers the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The leaked report hints at a single variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Though, there could be another variant as well with 128GB storage.

Cameras

Unlike Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Mi 9X is going to sport a triple camera set up at the back. The smartphone will come with a 48MP primary sensor, the Sony IMX 586 sensor, a 13MP secondary sensor for ultrawide shots and finally an 8MP sensor for depth sensing.

Up front, Mi 9X will come packed with a 32MP selfie shooter inside the notch.

Battery

On the downside, the Mi 9X will come with a smaller battery compared to the 4,000mAh unit on Note 7 Pro. The rumored Mi A3 will come packed with 3,300mAh battery.

The device will support 18W Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 Type C fast charging. The smartphone may ship with an 18W charger inside the box as well.
