Tata Sky Slashes Sports, Cricket Plans By 13%; Extends Free IPL 2019 Offer Till May 20

India’s 2nd largest DTH operator, Tata Sky has decided to cash-in the cricket mania gripping the nation, and this is the reason that the price of sports and cricket packs have been reduced.

But, there is a catch.

Cricket, Sports Pack Reduced For Tata Sky Users

Tata Sky users who love cricket, and sports in general, can now opt for special sports packs, at a reduced rate.

Discount upto 13% has been announced for these packs.

However, in order to avail this special rate, users will have to opt for a minimum of a 12-month plan.

Hence, if a user opts for a 12-month plan from Tata Sky, then only the discounted rates would be applicable.

Earlier, Star Sports 1 English channel pack was priced at Rs 228 for a year, or Rs 19/month. This has been now reduced to Rs 202, flat price for an entire year.

On the other hand, Annual Cricket Hindi Pack with Star Sports 1 Hindi channels is now available for Rs 201, flat for one year. This was earlier priced at Rs 19/month of Rs 228/year.

Cricket fans who love to watch matches all year round will find these new packs useful.

Watch IPL 2019 For Free Till May 20th

Meanwhile, these special packs for cricket are applicable for the whole year.

But for now, Tata Sky users need not to pay anything to watch IPL 2019 matches.

Tata Sky is providing access to Start Sports 1 channels, for free. This offer is valid between March 23rd and May 20th.

The following channels are being offered for free this IPL 2019 season: Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Kannada, and Start Sports 1 Bangla. As per a message sent by Tata Sky to their users, they can add these channels into their regular plans, and there shall be no extra charge for the same.

Except for Tamil, all Star Sports 1 channels are priced at Rs 19 per month. Tamil channel is priced at Rs 17 per month

Once the IPL 2019 gets over on May 20th, Cricket fans can choose the above mentioned annual plans, to access these cricket and sports channels at 13% discounted rates.

Along with Tata Sky, Airtel Digital is also offering Star Sports 1 channels for free, so that their users can watch the IPL 2019 for free.

Meanwhile d2H has offered a lock-in policy for 2 months, to access the same Star Sports 1 channels.
