Two of the biggest DTH operators in India: Tata Sky and Airtel Digital have clearly understood that IPL is the battleground where the real fight is.

In one of the biggest offers till date, both Tata Sky and Airtel Digital are offering free access to all IPL 2019 matches.

Tata Sky Users Can Watch IPL 2019 For Free

Tata Sky users have been notified that all IPL 2019 matches are free for them.

As per a message circulated, Tata Sky informed that between March 23 to May 19, 2019, the following channels are available to all users, free of cost: Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Kannada, and Start Sports 1 Bangla.

Star Sports 1 is the official broadcaster for IPL, and as we can see, access to IPL would be free in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bangla languages.

And since IPL 2019 would happen between March 23rd and May 19th, 2019, Tata Sky users can access all matches, by not paying anything.

Airtel Digital Users Can Have Free Access To All IPL Matches

Not to be outdone, Airtel Digital TV too has announced free access of IPL 2019 for their fans.

Via messages, Airtel Digital users have been informed that between March 23rd and May 19th, they can have free access of Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD, Star, Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports 1 Hindi HD, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star, Sports 1 Kannada and Star Sports 1 Bangla channels.

As we can see, the channels being offers for free by Airtel match the exact same offered by Tata Sky for IPL lovers.

Hence, this is a tariff war being triggered between Tata Sky and Airtel Digital.

What about Dish TV and d2H?

Will Dish TV Also Announce Such as Offer?

Dish TV, which is India’s largest DTH operator, has not announced any such offer as of now.

But considering that Tata Sky and Airtel Digital, which are #2 and #3 biggest DTH operators have already announced free IPL access to all users, Dish TV cannot afford to not offer the same.
