The phone is set to break all records through an innovative camera of no less than 48 megapixels! This was confirmed by the leaks and teasers of images on the new smartphone by Xiaomi. It will be a triple rear camera set, with a 13-megapixel wide angle sensor and a 16-megapixel depth sensor.

The 48-megapixel camera is supposed to be the Sony IMX 586, which is the world’s first ultra-compact sensor that provides a pixel size of 0.8 um.

The phone will also carry an in-display fingerprint sensor on its 6.4-inch screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 6, thus minimizing the bezels and chin of the model. The display is rumored to be a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, complete with a water drop notched shape.

The Mi 9 will function on Android Pie software, which is also termed as the Android Pie, out of the box and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which implies that the phone will also sport a 5G connectivity. It is also set to be launched in three variants – 6GB, 8GB, and 10GB, with 256GB of inbuilt storage.

The battery of the phone is of 3700 mAh which is combined with a Quick Charge 5.0 support and wireless charging as well.

The Mi 9 will be flaunting a shiny and sleek display finishing thanks to the back panel which will be made of glass.

The launch of Mi 9 in India is dependent on various factors. The rupee has been falling and the exchange rate is a huge criterion for the launch of the phone. Also, there might be a difference in the rates in China and India.

Additionally, the company is yet to launch the previous version, which is Mi 8, in India and Mi 9 surely seems like a distant possibility.
