Tata Sky is the leading DTH operator in India and it has been in news ever since TRAI has implemented the new rules of TV recharge and choosing channels. Now, Tata Sky has announced some more additions to the originally quantitative HD add-on packs.
Named as mini-packs, Tata Sky has pegged these packs at Rs. 5 only! Previously, Tata Sky had a total of 21 SD packs and an equal number of HD packs, which are available on the Tata Sky website.
Mini-packs by Tata Sky at Rs. 5!
These packs, which are a total of 13 new mini-packs, have been introduced on Friday this week. Previously, Tata Sky had launched a combo pack of HD and SD packs, but the new packs are a bit different. The new packs introduced by Tata Sky are 13 add-on HD packs only.
The channels included in the pack have been priced at an amount within the range of Rs. 60 to Rs. 200, and even above.
The channels included by the add-on packs are, Tamil Regional HD pack for Rs 164, Tamil Mini HD Pack for Rs 81, Telugu Regional and Mini HD pack for Rs 216 and Rs 90 each. Also, these packs are available in the Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali languages and they all come in the pair of full regional HD pack or Mini HD pack. In addition to this, the pack includes an English Movies HD Mini pack of Rs 162 which carries 12 channels.
TRAI’s Deadline Extended
TRAI has announced an extension to its tariff implementation deadline. Subscribers who still haven’t chosen their channel packs can continue to decide and choose till March 31. This date has been pushed back from February 1, 2019.
This is a welcome move as it gives viewers and subscribers a longer time span to choose their channels and in turn, helps DTH operators to assist viewers in picking the correct plan for themselves.
Tata Sky HD Packs at Rs. 11
In the latest development, Tata Sky had introduced new HD packs that started at Rs. 11. Here is a list of all the channels that will be available in this pack:
Cricket Hindi HD: Rs 42/month (2 channels included)
Cricket English HD: Rs 44/month (2 channels included)
Music HD: Rs 11/month (7 channels included)
Knowledge & Lifestyle Mini HD: Rs 53/month (9 channels included)
Knowledge & Lifestyle HD: Rs 83/month (17 channels included)
English Entertainment HD: Rs 76/month (7 channels included)
English Movies Mini HD: Rs 76/month (5 channels included)
Kids Mini HD: Rs 45/month (5 channels)
Kids HD: Rs 53/month (12 channels)
