Xiaomi is set to launch its first Android Go phone! And the date is set for the launch in Europe too – February 2019. But the price of the smartphone has already been leaked way ahead of the launch.

A Chinese Website by the name WinFuture has leaked the price of Xiaomi’s Redmi Go online.

Redmi Go’s Price Leaked!

The phone is a basic low-budget smartphone and therefore, is expected to do well in India.

Redmi Go was listed on Philippines retailer Lazada as well and it sported the same specifications.

While Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed the price of the smartphone, Redmi Go is expected to launch at Rs. 6500 minimum. A Chinese website, by the name WinFuture, leaked the reports of the phone being priced at less than EUR 80. This, roughly calculated, may turn out to more or less than Rs. 6500.

Redmi is a sub-brand of Chinese Tech company based out of Beijing, Xiaomi. After the company’s launch in 2010, it has gained popularity and has gone on to become one of the best smartphone companies in India as well.

Specs and Leaks of Xiaomi Redmi Go

All the details and specifications of Xiaomi’s Redmi Go have already been leaked, leading Xiaomi to confirm the news of a new smartphone.

Xiaomi’s first smartphone that will function on Android Go is called Xiaomi Redmi Go. Apparently, this phone will be available in two colours as well – blue and black.

This smartphone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor chipset, which is the same processor as ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ Redmi 5A, with Adreno 308 GPU support. This chipset can produce a speed of 1.4Ghz backed by 4x ARM Cortex A53 cores.

The RAM is expected to be 1 GB with 8 GB internal storage capacity and expandable memory up to 128 GB.

The display is rumoured to be 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It will probably function on the Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition).

The selfie camera of the phone will be 5-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 1.2-micron pixel size at the front. The rear camera will be 8-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size, complete with HDR support and LED flash as well.

The device is said to support 4G LTE, Wifi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS. The phone will have a 3000 mAh battery and a 5V1A charger out-of-the-box.
