Samsung will soon debut with its very first notch display devices with the M series. The South Korean tech giant kept itself away from the trend of notches for the past two years. But finally, it’s now Samsung joining the notch league.
The Samsung notch display phones will be produced under M series.
The very first two devices are Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, both will sport a water drop notch. Much like its competitors, Samsung is trying to get back to it’s lost turf, the mid-budget market. Once a leader in the domain, the company has been shadowed by the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, Asus and Honor.
The upcoming Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will probably bring the focus back to Samsung.

Galaxy M Series: Samsung’s Entry To The World Of Notches
Samsung will bring its very first notch display smartphone under its new Galaxy M series. To start with, Samsung will launch two smartphones in the range with water drop notches: Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. The company reportedly is working on a third device as well, Galaxy M30.
Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will launch in India on January 28.
The Samsung Galaxy M series will be focus primarily on budget phones. The smartphones will come with the latest specs and features, targeting the smartphones from Xiaomi, Asus, Honor and Realme.
Samsung Galaxy M10 & Galaxy M20: Specs & Features
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will come with Infinity V style notches, shaped like dewdrops. It’s very similar to what we have previously seen on Realme 2 Pro, OnePlus 6T or Oppo R17 Pro. Both Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will have small V-shaped notches in the centre on top.
The Infinity V notch on Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will hold the front camera sensors.
Both Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will come with minimal bezels on the sides with a thin bottom. Both Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensors and fast charging support.
The processors are yet to be disclosed, but Samsung is already teasing its fast-charging feature. Both Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 phones will feature 3X faster charging compared to previous Samsung budget smartphones with extra large batteries.
Samsung Galaxy M10: 3,400mAh Battery, Notched Display & More
Samsung Galaxy M10 has been leaked with a 6.2-inch HD+ display having a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Galaxy M10 will be powered by octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC built on a 14nm process coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Samsung M10 will include a dual-camera setup at the back featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
Samsung Galaxy M10 will run on Experience UI Android 8.1 Oreo including a 3,400mAh battery.
The upcoming Galaxy M10 will feature a microUSB port and will come with 3X fast charging support. Also, the leak has confirmed that the smartphone will have a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung Galaxy M20: Dual Cameras, Notched Display & More
Samsung Galaxy M20 will come with a 8MP front camera, 6.13-inches full HD+ display, dual rear camera comprising of 13MP and 5MP cameras. Samsung Galaxy M20 will come in two storage variants: 3GB RAM+32 ROM and 3GB RAM+64GB storage.
Samsung Galaxy M20 may measure 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8 mm supporting Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro USB, dual SIMs and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Samsung Galaxy M20 will run on Exynos 7885 processor paired with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU with new Experience UI skin based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 price is expected to fall under 10,000 rupees. The Samsung Galaxy M10 price may target Realme 2 and Redmi 6 Pro with its only-HD notched display and standard processor. As per the leaks, Samsung Galaxy M10 price is expected to be Rs 9,500 in India. Coming to Galaxy M20, the device will have better features.
The Samsung Galaxy M20 price will be around Realme 2 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. Samsung Galaxy M20 price could fall under Rs 15,000 for the base variant.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will be exclusive to Amazon India. Amazon already has has a ‘notify me’ page up for the upcoming Galaxy M smartphones on it’s site. The company will announce the upcoming Galaxy M-series smartphones on January 28.
