Realme 3 Coming Soon; 48MP Realme Phone Planned, Offline Stores Across 10 Cities!

After a very successful 2018, Realme is all set to disrupt 2019 again. Started out as an Oppo sub-brand, Realme moved out to work as an independent budget brand. While all its smartphones have been a huge success, more’s in the pipeline.

Up next, we have Realme 3, confirmed by CEO Madhav Sheth.

Not only Realme 3, the company is already working on exclusive Realme offline stores and a 48MP camera phone as well. To recall, the company last year partnered with Reliance to sell their phones offline via Reliance Digital and My Jio stores.

The company is yet to lock in their location for the first experience store, and still are working on the structure and principles.

Realme 3 India Launch: What We Know So Far

The company was previously tipped to be working on a Realme 2 Pro successor, and now it has been confirmed. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth in interview with IE said that Realme 3 is in development, and the company is planning to launch exclusive offline stores while a 48MP Realme phone is in the pipeline as well.

As per the reports, Realme 3 will be announced by the end of first-quarter in 2019. The smartphone will see an upgrade over the current Realme 2 phones, but the specifications or features are not yet confirmed.

The company is known to pack in all the latest features and then offer it at a very affordable price. Similarly, we expect the same from Realme 3. The expectations are high, we might see the latest processor and OS in the system, backed by most of the new features.

Realme Offline Stores

Realme initially started as an online-only only under Oppo. While after moving out of Oppo, Realme now operates as a separate entity. It cannot operate as an online-only brand anymore. The new FDI (effective from February 1) says that company will not be able to sell more than 25 percent of their products via e-commerce portals.

So, brands like Asus, Realme or Honor, who sell their smartphones exclusively online, will have to move to the offline market. Realme has already started to work on its offline experience stores, expected to open very soon.

Realme smartphones are also available offline via Reliance Digital and My Jio stores, but at a higher price than online.

Realme has currently sells Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme C1 via 600 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores in more than 130 cities across.

Next up, Realme itself will be expanding to top 10 cities in the first offline expansion phase. With over 75 percent of the produced phones to be sold, the company will have to channelize its offline market in a more structured manner.

Realme 48MP Phone: Realme 3 Pro?

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth also mentioned during the interview that Realme is also working on a 48MP camera phone. The Sony 48MP IMX 586 sensor has been a hit among smartphone manufacturers, and recently it was seen on Redmi Note 7, Huawei Nova 4, Honor View 20 and more.

The 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor is the first in the world to capture true high-definition 48 effective megapixels photography on a smartphone.

Realme didn’t confirm whether it will be there on Realme 3, or a seperate smartphone, maybe Realme 3 Pro. The company is known to save the best for the last, so Realme 48MP Camera Phone could be the upcoming Realme 3 Pro.

Xiaomi has confirmed the development of MIUI 11, which will use a cleaner UI than the existing platforms. The MIUI 11 is said to come with lesser bloatware and faster features. The upcoming MIUI 11 firmware is expected to be faster backed by AI features.

Xiaomi said that the new MIUI ROM would focus more on the real needs of the customers.

The latest MIUI 10 ROM was announced in July 2018, and it’s now available on about 40 of the Xiaomi and Redmi phones. Coming to the upcoming MIUI 11, it’s expected to arrive sometime during the mid-2019 by Q2.
