After the 3C certification, all the three Redmi 7 series smartphones has been trending on the internet, especially Redmi 7 Pro. In a couple of leaks, the smartphone was shown with a water-drop notch and a new design.

But, no, the leaks actually fake.

The videos and pictures are photoshopped. The leaked video and the pictures of Redmi 7 Pro shows a water-drop styled notch. But sadly, it’s fake. Both have been photoshopped, and no, it’s not the upcoming Redmi 7 Pro.

Yes, Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi 7 series soon, but these leaks are fake. The upcoming series will have three phones under it: Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro.

The company is is also working on Xiaomi Play, a budget gaming phone set to launch on December 24 followed by the 48MP IMX 586 sensor phone, Redmi Pro 2, in January 2019.

With their hands full, it’s going to be a long first quarter for Xiaomi in 2019.

Redmi 7 Pro: Water-Drop Notch Or Not?

The leaked pictures of the recently certified Redmi 7 Pro has been leaked online with a retail box. The live images of the Redmi 7 Pro were making its rounds on the internet creating a huge hype around the product. They show a water-drop notch and a new design for Xiaomi devices.

Xiaomi has been a late adopter of notches. Where its rivals are already in the water-drop segment, the company is still producing phones with big flat wide notches.

Now when companies like Huawei and Samsung are working on in-display front cameras with punch holes, they will probably start making water-drop notches. The company lately has been under the scanner for its repetitive designs and choice of hardware.

Coming to Redmi 7 Pro, all the pictures and videos are sadly fake. To start with, the “Redmi 7 Pro Retail Box” leaked picture has the name of the phone written on top of the retail box on a Photoshop editor. Both the font and style of “Redmi” and “7 Pro” are different. That’s what happens when you don’t do your Photoshop course properly!

To add to it, another website put out a video of the Redmi 7 Pro which is also photoshopped, again poorly.
