Nokia 9 will have 5 cameras!

The rumors of a Penta-lensed Nokia phone is true, and yes HMD Global is working on Nokia’s next flagship which has five cameras. The concept design of the smartphone is out and the next Nokia flagship has five cameras, a notch and an-almost bezel-less display with a thin chin below.

The smartphone will have a Penta-lens camera set up at the back with a notched display on top. The name has not been confirmed yet, but after Nokia 8 and 8 Sirocco, we believe it’s going to be named Nokia 9.

Recently HMD Global acquired the signature Nokia PureView lens license from Microsoft, the previous owner. Though Nokia 9 has the Zeiss branded lens, and you will have to wait a little more for the PureView lenses.

Nokia 9 Camera Setup: Five Lenses At The Back!

Nokia 9 is doing something probably no mainstream smartphone company will ever do. After Huawei brought in a camera revolution with its tri-camera setup, Nokia is planning to take it further. Nokia 9 has whopping five lenses at the back, and now the leaked images have confirmed what the Nokia flagship would look like.

Nokia 9 would be bringing some unique new features, and the Penta-lens setup seems like an experiment for the company. The previous PureView Nokia phones came with spectacular cameras, and this seems like another beginning.

The leaked design of Nokia 9 has a layout on the back with seven cutouts, five for the lenses, one for LED flash and one for IR sensor. Nokia 9 will have standard lenses which will include zoom lenses and RGB sensors for better depth photography.

Nokia 9 Design Language

The leaked design layout of the upcoming Nokia 9 is the final product, and it has a notched display on top. The smartphone will come with a near bezel-less display with a thin chin below. The design is somewhat similar to the recently launched Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6).

The chin has a Nokia branding and the notch has a standard size, neither too big nor too small.

The body looks like that it will have a glass sandwich built with a shiny unibody finish on the out. Nokia 9 has a sleek design language and looks very premium. The edges have been chamfered to give Nokia 9 a more premium look.

Nokia 9: Software, Hardware & In-Display Fingerprint Sensor!

The smartphone is expected to see some upgrades in terms of hardware and as well as software. The camera has a Zeiss branding but things in the inside will see a change with some PureView software upgradations. The smartphone is also expected to ship with the latest flagship Qualcomm processor: Snapdragon 845.

The Nokia 9 has a taller screen with a more compact form factor allowing more screen size.

Another massive leak was a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone does not have any physical fingerprint sensor at the back, and neither it has any upfront. So HMD might go for an in-display fingerprint sensor for Nokia 9, its first for any Nokia device.

Nokia 9 Price & Launch | Nokia 9 India Launch

There’s a lot of details we are yet to know. There is no official word yet from the company, neither the company has confirmed whether they are working on any new device or not. But the leaks are from some of the quite reputable sources in the industry, so yes, there’s a new Nokia flagship HMD Global is working on.

The dates are yet to revealed as well, as we don’t know when we will get to see Nokia 9, but we are expecting a launch in late 2018, so the Nokia 9 launch is close. In India, we may expect the device anytime soon after the global launch, maybe early 2019.

Finally, the price. Nokia 9 is expected to be priced above Nokia 8, and we are expecting the company to launch the device in India anything around Rs 50,000.
