Leaked: Google Pixel 3XL Running Android 9.0; World’s First Smartphone With Gorilla Glass 6!

The third generation Google flagships were a part of the rumor mill for a long time, but it’s recent Geekbench listing has confirmed some key features. The Google smartphones are expected to launch in October, and Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has already been a part of multiple leaks.

Though to keep all you fans excited, there’s another big Pixel news. Google Pixel 3 XL has now been spotted on the popular benchmarking tool Geekbench, that has confirmed that Google Pixel 3 XL will run Android 9.0 out of the box with 4GB of RAM.

Google Pixel 3 XL – Will Come With Snapdragon 845 & Android P

The Google flagship has scored 2426 in the single-core benchmark test on Geekbench, while the smartphone scored 8355 points in its multi-core test. The scores achieved by Google Pixel 3 XL are similar what has been achieved by recently-launched Asus Zenfone 5Z.

Asus Zenfone 5Z runs on SD 845, and the scores achieved by both are almost same.

Earlier the Google Pixel 3 XL was rumored to be launching with the next-gen Qualcomm flagship processor – Snapdragon 855. But the latest Geekbench scores of Pixel 3 XL now seem to creating much confusion with the hardware.

But, going by the scores, Google Pixel 3 XL will come with a Snapdragon 845, an upgrade over SD 835 from Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Snapdragon 845 currently powers most of the flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy S9 duo, HTC U12+, OnePlus 6, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium and more.

Google Pixel 3 XL With Android 9.0 | Android P Out Of The Box

The scores have also revealed that Google Pixel 3 XL will run Android 9.0 or Android P out of the box. Pixel smartphones are known to run the latest Android software with a top-end hardware inside. As per a leak, Google will be officially launching Android P on August 20.

The latest Android P will be made available in beta version for a few months before the final stable version is launched. Also, the reports suggest that Android P may be called Android Pistachio.

World’s First Smartphone With Gorilla Glass 6 | Corning Gorilla Glass 6

The all new though and probably the current hardest smartphone glass, the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 was recently unveiled at an event. After two weeks, Corning has confirmed that Oppo will be the first to use its latest Gorilla Glass 6.

Oppo is going to be the first smartphone company to use the Corning Gorillas Glass 6 protection for its upcoming flagship device.

The company may announce Oppo R17 with Corning Gorillas Glass 6. The new sixth-gen Gorilla Glass is said to survive upto 15 drops from a height of 1 meter onto rough and hard surfaces. According to Corning, the added resistance with CGG 6 will help smartphone makers to add to the structural integrity of devices in tighter environments.

The new Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is also expected on some of the top upcoming flagship smartphones like LG V40, Huawei Mate 20 and OnePlus 6T
