The much-awaited second generation Mi A series smartphone is all set to launch tomorrow at Madrid, Spain. After a successful run in India with its first generation Mi A1, India’s number one smartphone brand Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its successor Xiaomi Mi A2 globally.

After being a part of the rumour mill for a long time, the final set of features and specifications of the Android One Xiaomi smartphone is here. Not only features, the official pricing and availability details has been leaked just before the launch.

Xiaomi will be launching Mi A2 and a light version of its second generation Xiaomi Android One series, Mi A2 Lite.

Mi A2 & Mi A2 Lite – Expected Pricing

Coming to the prices, the upcoming Mi A2 Lite has been listed for £209.99, which roughly translates to Rs 14,421 on conversion. The prices may go up to Rs 16,500 without discount. Mi A2 will come in different storage versions starting at Rs 22,300 on conversion.

The higher 64GB storage Mi A2 model has been listed for RON 1,424 in Romania, which will translate to roughly around Rs 24,500.

In India, both the devices are expected to cost over Rs 14,000 to Rs 15,000. Mi A2 Lite will be available in a single storage version, and is expected to cost under Rs 15,000. Whereas, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to cost under Rs 20,000 with a couple of storage options in the country.

Both the Mi A2 devices, Xiaomi Mi A2 and Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite will be Android One devices. Both the smartphones will be supported by Google running the latest Android version out of the box.

Both the smartphones will be getting get two years of assured Android upgrades on the software till Android Q.

Under the Android One initiative by Google, both the smartphones will get timely and monthly up-to-date security updates from Google. The devices will run a Pixel-like OS under with free unlimited photo storage feature from Google Photos.

Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite – Specifications & Features

Both Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will run the latest Android out of the box being Android One smartphones. The devices will come with guaranteed Android upgrades for the next two years.

Mi A2 will come with a 5.99 inch Full HD+ widescreen 18:9 display running Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 under the hood. processor. Mi A2 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB storage options. Coming to optics, Mi A2 will sport a rear dual camera system comprising of a 12MP lens coupled with a 20MP f/1.75 lens. Up front, the smartphone will have a 20MP AI-backed front camera with a 3,010mAh battery under.

As per the latest leak, Mi A2 Lite will come with a 5.84 inches Full HD+ 19:9 notched elongated display. Mi A2 Lite will run Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with a rear dual camera setup. It will have a 12MP primary camera coupled with a 5MP shooter, and a 5MP selfie camera. As a plus, Mi A2 Lite will have a massive 4,000 mAh battery.
