New JioPhone Offered At Rs 501 Under Monsoon Hungama; JioGigafiber Officially Launched!
Mukesh Ambani made these announcements during 41st AGM of Reliance Industries
Today morning, Reliance Industries Chairman Mr. Mukesh Ambani unleashed two major disruptions, during their 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The first disruption will change everything about fixed line broadband market in India, as JioGigaFiber has been officially launched.
And the second disruption is about smartphones, as a new JioPhone has been offered for just Rs 501, under their Monsoon Hungama scheme.
JioGigaFiber Launched
Starting August 15th, Reliance Jio will start their services of fixed line broadband, under the brand name JioGigaFiber. Earlier, it was speculated that this service would be called JioFiber.
JioGigaFiber shall be launched across 1100 cities, wherein offices and households can opt for high speed broadband connection, along with Smart Home Solutions, under their JioGigafiber Services.
As per the latest reports coming in, JioGigaFiber will offer complete WiFi coverage insider homes/offices; smart virtual assistants, ultra-HD entertainment on TV and digital shopping solutions, right from the home.

It seems Giga was added because as per Jio, the days of Mbps is now over, and it is Gigabytes which is taking over.
Mukesh Ambani said, “We will now extend fiber connectivity to homes, merchants, small and medium enterprises and large enterprises simultaneously across 1,100 cities to offer the most advanced fiber-based broadband connectivity solutions.”
Earlier, we had reported that JioFiber or now JioGigafiber will offer 1.1 TB of data at 100 Mbps speed.
JioGigafiber can become one of the biggest disruptions of 2018.

Meanwhile another round of Monsoon Hungama has been announced, and this time, the offers are even more enchanting.
Users can exchange any feature phone and get the new JioPhone by paying only Rs 501.
The offers under Monsoon Hungama shall be applicable starting July 21st.
Besides, Jio also announced that after August 15th, Youtube, Facebook and Whatsapp would be available on JioPhone 2.
Jio informed that there are right now 25 million JioPhone users in India.
