Bahubali, Aadhaar & GST Dominate Top Indian Google Searches for 2017!
Bitcoins and Jio were beaten by Aadhaar, GST in the search trends this year.
The much awaited Google India’s search trends or Top Indian Google Searches for 2017 is out, and there are some major surprises out there.
While Aamir Khan’s Dangal was comprehensively beaten by Bahubali in the overall search results, Bitcoins and Jio were beaten by Aadhaar, GST in the search trends this year.
This clearly showcases that Indian citizens were more concerned and worried about staying within the norms of the Govt., rather than learning on how to make money using bitcoins!

Bahubali 2 Conquers Top Indian Google Searches For 2017 Too
Few days back, we had reported that conversations around Bahubali dominated Facebook India this year, and the same trend we are witnessing on Google as well.
In the overall search trend results for 2017, Bahubali is placed at #1 position, beating Dangal, and ‘Live Cricket Score’.
The searches around Bahubali peaked in the month of April, when the movie Bahubali 2: The Conclusion was released.
Indian Premier League or IPL is at #2 while Live Cricket Score is at #3.
In the category of movies as well, Bahubali is at #1 position, whereas Dangal is at #2 and Half Girlfriend, a movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s book by the same name is at #3.
Badrinath ki Dulhania and Munna Michael were at #4 and #5 position.
Aadhaar Beats Bitcoins, Jio
Meanwhile, under the category of ‘How To’ and ‘What Is’ (searches which start with these questions), Aadhaar and GST clearly beat Bitcoins and Jio.
Under ‘How To’ category, #1 search was How to link Aadhaar with PAN, meanwhile under ‘What is’ category, What is GST is at #1.
Under How to, How to book Jio is at #2, and How to buy bitcoins in India is at #3 position, which clearly showcases that these topics dominated India this year.
What is jallikattu and BS3 vehicle were other prominent searches.
- Sunny Leone was again the most searched celebrity on Google. Arshi Khan is at #2 and Sapna Choudhary at #3
- Song Hawa Hawa was the most searched song on Google, whereas Mere Rashke Qamar from Badshaho was at #2
- Indian Premier League and ICC Champions Trophy were the most searched sports events
- Post Office Near me was the most searched ‘Near Me’ question, whereas Movie timings near me was at #2
- In the news section, IPL was again at #1 and ICC at #2, whereas CBSE results was at #3
