It seems that Diwali as already started for hardcore Internet users, as Vodafone and BSNL has launched some interesting plans and updates, clearly laser-focused on those who are heavy users of Internet.

While Vodafone has beaten Airtel and to some extent Jio in offering the best deal: 90 GB for 6 months, at Rs 399; BSNL has launched special pre-paid plans, besides promising 10 Mbps and 8 Mbps minimum speed for broadband users.

Of course, terms and conditions exist, but nevertheless, the plans looks interesting.

We explore..

Vodafone: 90 GB for 6 Months @ Rs 399!

This Diwali season, Vodafone has launched one of the most attractive and cost-effective plan, targeted for regular Internet users.

In their newest promotional scheme, Vodafone pre-paid users can pay Rs 399 and get 90 GB for 6 months.

Now, important details like daily FUP hasn’t been revealed, but if we divide the available GBs equally for 6 months, then it will come to 500 MB per day and overall, the user will only pay Rs 0.22 per GB, which is the lowest as of now.

As if to polish the whole deal, the users will get unlimited voice calls along with the 90 GB data for 6 months, by paying only Rs 399 one-time.

If we compare, then Jio is giving 84 GB for 84 days, for the same amount: Rs 399, along with free unlimited voice calls; and Airtel is only giving 1 GB per day for 28 days, for Rs 399.

Jio has a slight upper hand, as they are also giving 100% cashback along with Rs 399 plan.

Note to Vodafone users: Some reports are claiming that not every Vodafone user is getting these benefits under Rs 399 plan. Please confirm with your local Vodafone outlet while recharging your phone.

BSNL’s Diwali Gift: 10 Mbps Base Speed For Broadband Users

Meanwhile not to be outdone, state carrier BSNL has declared that all broadband users will now get 10 Mbps and 8 Mbps as base speed, effective November 1st, 2017.

Those who are paying more than Rs 675 per month for unlimited broadband plans will get 10 Mbps base speed, while those who are paying less than Rs 675 per month will get 8 Mbps as base speed.

BSNL, in an official statement, said, “In order to offer ‘up to 10 Mbps’ & ‘up to 8 Mbps’ initial download speed (subject to technical feasibility) across all the DSL/FTTH Broadband plans [PAN India/Circle Specific (except A&N circle)] with FMC ? It seems to be a publicity stunt. I understand that this offer is not available to all Vodafone 4G subscribers but only to select few who get SMS from company.

I also recharged with 399, but when I enquired about this plan, I was told that there is not such plan and also refused to refund the amount.

I am a Vodaphone user too but cant avail the offer. Is the offer really for select customers only?

This Vodafone offer is not available for 3 Vodafone numbers in my close circle in Kolkata that I checked. It seems that Vodafone is extending this offer to only select customers. This is a sure shot way to offend your existing customers. These moves will only shift some of them to operators who do not discriminate between customers.

This offer of vodafone is not listed in its recharge offers on vodafone website. This seems to be fake news. A search for this offer on Google is lands you on news only and not to vodafone website.
On the other hand jio offer is available on jio app.
Please verify before writing the news
