One Plus 5T: New Features

Only a few details are available at this point in time. One major change is going to be the display. The screen on the OnePlus 5T will be a 6″ display with a 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution. This will give the OnePlus 5T’s display, an 18:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, the OnePlus 5 is already up-to-date with a set of powerful specs on board. So the OnePlus 5T might see an upgraded display for a better visual experience and an incremental bump in processor.

The OnePlus 5 currently ships with dual cameras at the back. It was launched in the country back in June with two variants. It has an 16MP+20MP dual camera setup at the back and a 16 MP shooter on the front.

Upgrade From OnePlus 5 To OnePlus 5T

In the case of the OnePlus 3T, OnePlus only changed the hardware by replacing the Snapdragon 820 on the OnePlus 3 with a slightly faster Snapdragon 821 on 3T and an upgraded camera. Though the display, camera and the processor might be the only changes between OnePlus 5 and 5T, the aspect ratio is going to be a major change. The 5T will sport  a 6″ full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. It will be something very similar to the likes of LG V30, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and the newly launched Google Pixel 2 XL which sport minimal bezels.

OnePlus 5T Design

The OnePlus 5T image shared in this report, shows a smartphone with very thin bezels around the corners. The display seems to have curved edges on the sides, which makes it look very similar to the Galaxy S8, which sports a similar 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The recently leaked Oppo F5 also sports a similar design. It is worth noting here that Oppo and OnePlus are part of the same company, BK Electronics.

OnePlus 5 Is Out Of Stock

Some variants of the OnePlus 5 are already out of stock in several countries which includes the likes of UK, with no signs of fresh stock being available anytime soon. This strongly indicates that OnePlus is indeed looking to launch the new model quite soon.
