Yu Televentures, an arm of parent company Micromax, that manufactures and sells Yu Branded smartphones has entered a strategic partnership with Reliance Retail with an aim to make YU devices available to customers offline.
Over last year, Yu Televentures have come out with multiple Smartphones, which have been quite popular with the masses. However, till date these phones have been available only through ecommerce portals and too mostly through once-a-week flash sales. All of their launches have met with great success and most of the flash sales have got over in minutes if not seconds.
The demand for Yu phones has been quite high, but due to online-only availability many people have not been able to get their hands on it. The company seems to have understood this and has now forged partnership with Reliance Retail that will bring Yu devices to over 30,000 Reliance retail outlets across India.
The partnership is an exclusive retail sales and distribution partnership to enhance the availability of popular VoLTE mobile devices (4G) across India. Smartphone models, Yu YUPHORIA, Yu YUREKA Plus and Yu YUNIQUE will be first set of 4G phones to leverage and bolster Reliance Retail’s robust nationwide sales & distribution network to increase penetration across the Indian geography.

The offline pricing of all these phones will remain the same as in case of online. Yu Yuphoria will be available for Rs. 7,999/-. Yu Yunique will be available for 6,499 and Yu Yureka Plus will be available offline for Rs. 10,999.
