Have you ever wished for a ride in a supercar like Ferrari, Hummer, Lamborghini? In case you are in New Delhi on July 15th, then your dream can come true.
Uber has partnered with Droom, a leading online market place for cars, to provide free ride upto 15 minutes in any super car. This special ride is only valid for Delhi users, and between 1 PM to 4 PM.
Karun Arya, Communications Lead, South Asia and India, Uber said, “This is the first time we’re bringing #UberSUPERCARS to India, for real.”
Here is how you can avail this offer:
- Fire up the Uber app between 1 PM and 4 PM on July 15th (today)
- Delhi users will see a special category: UberSuperCars in the bottom slider. Click on that.
- Depending on your location, you will see several supercars lined up. Confirm the car ride.
- No, you cannot ‘choose’ your super car here. Depending on the availability, the nearest supercar will arrive at your location.
Interestingly, the ride will be only of 15 minutes duration, and entirely free of charge. The pickup and drop locations of the ride will be the same.
Rishab Malik, Co-founder and VP, Business Development, at Droom said, “We are absolutely thrilled about this one of a kind event that we are hosting along with our partner Uber.”
In the email sent to all customers, Uber has warned that ‘demand will be high and availability will be limited’; hence indirectly they have asked everyone to keep trying till they get the ride!
Uber has also shared that customers won’t be able to self drive the cars, and has informed that as most supercars are coupe, hence friends/family members won’t be able to accommodate (considering that the driver would be the other person in the car)
It’s a one-time, one-day offer, and that too specific between 1 PM and 4 PM. The same deal with similar rules was also offered in Singapore and Malaysia earlier.
Riders of these supercars, can share their selfies on various social networks to get some surprise gift from Uber.
