Third Row May Suit Children Best<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Japan-spec Solio measures 3,810 mm long, 1,645 mm wide and 1,745 mm tall, with a 2,480 mm wheelbase. The Indian seven-seater is expected to remain under four metres, so space in the third row may be limited for adults on longer journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A powered sliding rear door is also being considered. If offered, it could make getting in and out easier in tight parking spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expected Engine and Features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Solio is likely to use a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine similar to the unit in the Swift and Dzire, producing around 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. A CNG version is also expected, while a series-hybrid option could be introduced later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To keep costs down, Maruti may limit premium equipment. A touchscreen with wireless connectivity is expected, while features available on the Japanese model\u2014such as a 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance systems\u2014may not make it to the Indian version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Launch Timeline Remains Unconfirmed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Maruti has not announced a launch date. Current reports point to a possible arrival by late 2027 or early 2028, though some suggest it could be later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
