The FAA said it will convene a Corrective Action Review Board and will take immediate action if it identifies a safety concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of 737 MAX aircraft currently operating with the affected software has not yet been established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airlines Ask Boeing For Earlier Software<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southwest Airlines and United Airlines have reportedly asked Boeing not to deliver new 737 MAX aircraft equipped with the affected software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airlines have instead requested aircraft using an earlier version of the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
