This Is An Advance Payment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe early payment does not mean employees are receiving an additional month’s salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the full September salary, wages or pension entitlement is determined, any necessary adjustment will be made from the October 2026 salary or wages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 30 Is A Critical Date<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe government is particularly concerned about the timing because September 30 marks the end of the half-year for banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Transactions involving reconciliation, provisioning, treasury operations and other financial activities normally become more important around the closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government has therefore advised departments to process payments and other banking transactions due towards the end of September in advance wherever feasible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
