Apple has not publicly confirmed the reported agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI Boom Drives Memory Demand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase comes amid a broader shortage of memory chips. AI companies are investing heavily in data centres, increasing demand for high-performance memory and putting pressure on the supply available for smartphones and other consumer electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memory manufacturers including <strong>Samsung, SK hynix and Micron<\/strong> have been allocating substantial capacity to AI and cloud customers through long-term agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resulting shortage is affecting smartphone manufacturers across the industry, with some smaller companies already preparing for elevated memory costs and limited supply through 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">iPhone Prices Already Increased in 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple has already raised prices on several products this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly launched <strong>iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max<\/strong> are around $100 more expensive in the US than their previous-generation counterparts.
