India&#8217;s charging infrastructure still needs significant expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IEA estimates that India had around 88,000 public charging points at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under its current-policies scenario, India could require more than <strong>520,000 public charging points by 2035<\/strong> as the electric vehicle fleet expands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That would require the country to add roughly 43,000 public charging points every year on average through 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fast Charging Will Become Increasingly Important<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The future charging network will not simply need more chargers; it will also need faster chargers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast and ultra-fast charging can significantly reduce the time an EV spends at a charging
