Make Calls Directly From Your Browser<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Until now, WhatsApp users needed either the mobile app or the dedicated desktop application to make voice and video calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With the latest update, users can now place and receive one-to-one and group audio or video calls<\/strong> directly from browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and other supported web browsers through WhatsApp Web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The browser version also supports end-to-end encryption<\/strong>, ensuring the same level of privacy available on mobile and desktop apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No App Download Required<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The new feature is especially useful for users who work on office computers or shared systems where installing software may not be possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Apart from calling, WhatsApp Web now includes a dedicated Calls<\/strong> tab, giving users quick access to recent calls, favourites and call history. Features such as screen sharing<\/strong> and emoji reactions<\/strong> during calls are also available through the browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Transfer Calls Between Devices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n WhatsApp has introduced a seamless Call Transfer<\/strong> feature that allows users to move an ongoing call from one device to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For example, users can start a call on their smartphone while travelling and later transfer it to WhatsApp Web or the desktop app after reaching home or the office, without disconnecting the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This makes switching between devices much more convenient during long conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Waiting Room For Better Group Call Control<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A new Waiting Room<\/strong> feature gives hosts greater control over group calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When creating a call link, users can enable the “Require approval to join”<\/strong> option. Participants entering through the link will remain in a waiting room until the host approves their entry, adding an extra layer of privacy and security for meetings and group discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HD Video And Better Audio Quality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n WhatsApp has also improved overall call quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
