Users can instantly lock or unlock biometric authentication, helping prevent unauthorised use of fingerprint or iris data. The app also supports consent-based sharing, allowing residents to disclose only the information required for a specific verification instead of sharing complete Aadhaar details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Millions Of Updates Processed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to official figures, the app has already facilitated nearly 49 lakh mobile number updates, more than 11 lakh address updates and over 12 lakh email address updates. Users have also accessed the biometric lock and unlock feature more than 1.9 crore times, demonstrating strong adoption of the platform&#8217;s security tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Digital Identity Services Continue To Expand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new Aadhaar app forms part of India&#8217;s broader push towards digital public services.
