Suzuki’s upcoming XL7 facelift has been leaked online ahead of its official debut at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), offering a glimpse of the design changes expected for the popular MPV. More importantly for Indian buyers, the updated XL7 could preview the styling direction of the next-generation Maruti Suzuki XL6, as both vehicles share the same platform and core architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaked images reveal a significantly revised front fascia, giving the MPV a bolder and more SUV-inspired appearance.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most noticeable change is the redesigned grille. The current model features separate upper and lower grille sections, but the facelifted XL7 adopts a larger single-piece grille that stretches across most of the front bumper. The grille receives a blacked-out finish, enhancing the vehicle’s premium and rugged appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suzuki has also redesigned the bumper, fog lamp housings, and lower skid plate. Chrome accents integrated into the grille create a connected-lighting effect, although the design may divide opinions among enthusiasts. The headlamps themselves appear largely unchanged, while the fog lamps are slimmer and more modern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fresh Alloy Wheels and Sportier Styling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Along the sides, the XL7 facelift receives newly designed alloy wheels that vary depending on the variant. Some trims are expected to feature dual-tone finishes, while others may get an all-black treatment. Spy images and teaser material also suggest smoked-effect tail lamps at the rear, adding a sportier character to the MPV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the rear section remains largely unchanged, the visual updates help give the vehicle a more contemporary road presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interior Upgrades Expected<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The leaked photographs focus primarily on the exterior, but reports indicate that Suzuki may introduce a larger infotainment touchscreen, updated software features, and enhanced connectivity options. Earlier teasers have also hinted at features such as a 360-degree camera, head-up display, and a digital instrument cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The XL7 will continue to offer seven-seat practicality with a second-row bench seat, whereas the India-spec XL6 uses captain seats in the middle row for a more premium experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood, the XL7 facelift is expected to retain its familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology. Maruti Suzuki has not officially confirmed whether these updates will be carried over to the XL6.
