According to recent reports, the estimated manufacturing cost of the PS6 has surged to nearly $1,000. This figure represents the bill of materials (BoM), which includes the cost of key components such as processors, memory, storage, and graphics hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry insiders claim that rising prices of DRAM memory chips and SSD storage components are among the biggest reasons behind the increase. Demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centres has reportedly tightened supply chains, making advanced hardware significantly more expensive than it was during the PS5 era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
