Designed for speeds of up to 120 kmph, the corridor is expected to improve connectivity across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu &amp; Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, travellers heading from Delhi to Chandigarh will use a network involving the Dwarka Expressway, Urban Extension Road, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, and the Trans-Haryana Expressway toward Ambala and Chandigarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Completion Expected By 2027<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports indicated that most sections of the expressway network are expected to become operational between late 2026 and March 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction work had earlier faced delays due to land acquisition issues in Punjab, contractor disputes, and flooding in some northern sections. However, officials reportedly said construction activity has accelerated again in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Major Reduction In Travel Time<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once operational, the expressway network is expected to drastically reduce travel duration for multiple routes across North India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delhi to Chandigarh travel time may reduce to nearly 2 hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delhi to Amritsar travel time may reduce to around 4 hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delhi to Katra travel time could drop from nearly 14 hours to around 6 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connectivity And Economic Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials and industry observers believe the new expressway system could significantly improve logistics, tourism, and industrial connectivity across northern states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Areas near major interchanges and expressway corridors are also expected to witness increased commercial development, warehousing activity, and real estate growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The improved road infrastructure is expected to reduce traffic pressure on existing highways, especially the heavily congested NH-44 corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part Of Larger Expressway Expansion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi-Chandigarh connectivity upgrade forms part of a broader highway expansion push underway across India.
