class=\"wp-block-heading\">How The Fraud Allegedly Happened<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to court records, the constable originally joined the Jharkhand Police in May 2005 under the name Ranjan Kumar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December 2007:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livelaw.in\/supreme-court\/supreme-court-orders-criminal-action-against-constable-who-joined-bihar-jharkhand-police-in-different-names-533562\">reportedly took two days\u2019 leave from Jharkhand Police<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then allegedly joined Bihar Police using the different identity \u201cSantosh Kumar\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He later stopped reporting to duty in both departments properly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigations reportedly found:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Same photographs used in both applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matching biometric and fingerprint records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Similar personal details across documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The inquiry eventually concluded that both identities belonged to the same person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supreme Court\u2019s Strong Observation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Supreme Court made unusually strong remarks while restoring the dismissal order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bench stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPublic employment\u2026 cannot be converted into an
