Economic Corridor<\/a>, is a six-lane access-controlled expressway connecting Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh under the Bharatmala highway development programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travel Time Between Bengaluru And Vijayawada To Reduce Sharply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, road travel between Bengaluru and Vijayawada can take around 12 hours because of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Congested highways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Narrow town roads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sharp curves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heavy truck traffic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of direct expressway connectivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once completed, the corridor is expected to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduce travel distance from around 635 km to nearly
