Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SIM swap fraud is a growing cybercrime technique where attackers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Duplicate or transfer your mobile number to another SIM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intercept OTPs and banking alerts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain full access to online banking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, investigators confirmed that <strong>third parties diverted OTPs<\/strong> to execute the fraud without the customer\u2019s knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Court\u2019s Key Observation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The court relied on the <strong>RBI\u2019s 2017 circular on unauthorised electronic transactions<\/strong>, which protects
