{"id":1308498,"date":"2026-04-18T10:24:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-18T04:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1308498"},"modified":"2026-04-18T10:24:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T04:54:39","slug":"11-elevated-corridors-at-rs-13-crore-budget-approved-to-decongest-bengaluru-traffic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/11-elevated-corridors-at-rs-13-crore-budget-approved-to-decongest-bengaluru-traffic\/","title":{"rendered":"11 Elevated Corridors At Rs 13 Crore Budget Approved To Decongest  Bengaluru Traffic"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In order to ease the traffic congestion in Benglore, the Karnataka Cabinet approved 11 elevated corridors in different parts of Bengaluru at an estimated cost of Rs 13,262 crore on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Untitled-design-29-1280x720-1024x576-1-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"11 Elevated Corridors At Rs 13 Crore Budget Approved To Decongest  Bengaluru Traffic\" class=\"wp-image-1308504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Untitled-design-29-1280x720-1024x576-1-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Untitled-design-29-1280x720-1024x576-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Untitled-design-29-1280x720-1024x576-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How Did This Happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state Cabinet on cleared 11 flyovers and elevated corridors costing a total of Rs 13,262 crore in a major push to decongest Bengaluru\u2019s traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These projects be spanning through 75.60 km of area will cover all five municipal corporations of the city <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/bangalore\/bengaluru-traffic-reset-karnataka-cabinet-clears-11-elevated-corridors-worth-rs-13-2-crore-10640790\/\">reportedly<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project spanning 75.6 km across Bengaluru, is part of the state government\u2019s plan to provide a long-term solution to traffic in the city said H K Patil, Law and Parliamentary Affairs minister while addressing a press conference, after the Cabinet meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the the 11 corridors, nine will be constructed under the Public-Private Partnership model and the remaining two will be built under the Build-Operate-Transfer model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List Of Eleven Corridors&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These 11 corridors includes &#8211;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The split flyover at MEI Junction on Tumkur Road in front of RNS Shantiniketan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grade separators at Pipeline Road from West of Chord Road to Outer Ring Road in Mahalakshmi Layout,\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The elevated corridor from Doddaballapura road (Police Station Junction) to NH-7 (Navayuga Flyover) at Kogilu Circle via Old Yelahanka town<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The elevated corridor at Konankunte Circle along Kanakapura Road<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The elevated corridor at Adyar Ananda Bhavan Raghuvanahalli cross, Kanakapura Road.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The elevated corridors from Minerva Circle to Hudson Circle including loop flyover existing from BGS flyover to Town Hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The elevated corridors from Sangolli Rayanna circle (Anandrao Flyover) to Nrupathung road (KR Circle), from Sirsi circle to Nayandahalli on Mysuru road, and from Sholay Circle to St John\u2019s Hospital along Hosur road, among others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, the projects would be implemented by Bangalore Smart Infrastructure Ltd, a special-purpose vehicle tasked with building large-scale projects said Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have devided these projects into three categories in accordance to their length and scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s major stretches include long corridors such as Yeshwantpur to KR Puram (28 km) and Ragigudda to Talaghattapura on Kanakapura Road (18.5 km), including several shorter flyovers and grade separators.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These flyovers were selected based on a two-year study, which also analysed the origin and destination points said B S Prahallad, Director (Technical), B-SMILE, further adding,\u201cThis is an end-to-end solution.
