The instant messaging app is testing a feature where users can subscribe to their favourite channels by paying a fee, as per the spotted details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presently, users can subscribe to any channel without any charges but the new paid feature will give them access to premium posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main highlight of this upcoming feature is transparency along with this the Meta-owned app is also working on showing the number of paid subscribers a channel has. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, this number will be visible to everyone, even to those who are not paying for the subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report mentioned that, “It will appear alongside the total follower count in the channel info section. This can help users decide whether a channel\u2019s paid content is worth subscribing to. A higher subscriber count may signal trust and popularity, while a lower number could make users think twice before paying.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming to the Channel creators, it will be able to easily set up subscriptions within the channel info screen as per the report<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
