IT giant Wipro has kicked off the new financial year with a bold move\u2014launching a dedicated AI-focused business unit. The AI unit will consolidate Wipro\u2019s existing platform assets across industries such as healthcare, aviation, and financial services, while also incubating new AI-led business lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is to accelerate the development of enterprise-grade \u201cagentic AI\u201d solutions and create a \u201cservices as software\u201d model\u2014where traditional IT services are enhanced with automation and intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership Reshuffle at the Top<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of this transformation, Wipro has appointed Nagendra Bandaru as CEO of the newly created AI unit. A veteran with nearly three decades at the company, Bandaru will lead AI strategy and execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To fill his previous role, Kanwar Singh, a former Accenture leader, has been brought in as President and Managing Partner of Technology Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Suzanne Dann, CEO of the Americas-2 unit, has stepped down, marking a significant change in Wipro\u2019s global leadership structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
