Officials confirmed that the detailed project report (DPR) is nearing completion and will soon be submitted to the state government for approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Funding the Future, Smoothing the Journey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ambitious expansion aims to significantly reduce travel time, especially during peak weekend rushes, while ensuring smoother and more efficient journeys throughout the year. Notably, the project will be funded through toll revenue rather than direct government expenditure. Although toll collection is currently authorized until 2045, MSRDC may request an extension to ensure the project remains financially viable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed widening will cover 67 km of the total 94.6 km stretch, excluding the already ongoing 13-km \u201cmissing link\u201d project in the Khandala Ghat section.
