{"id":1307719,"date":"2026-03-29T11:10:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T05:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1307719"},"modified":"2026-03-29T11:10:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T05:40:13","slug":"indian-railways-will-construct-underpasses-subways-in-12-hours-across-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/indian-railways-will-construct-underpasses-subways-in-12-hours-across-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Railways Will Construct Underpasses\/Subways In 12 Hours, Across India"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a mission mode to prevent accidents while crossing track, the Ministry of Railways has planned the construction of underpasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Railways To Build Underpasses In Mission Mode<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/railways-to-build-underpasses-in-mission-mode-projects-to-be-completed-in-just-12-hours-heres-how-10603210\/\">Railways<\/a> is planning to construct these underpasses at particular locations where there is a settlement on one side of the railway track and fields, schools, cremation grounds, or other important and commonly used places on the other side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"618\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-1024x618.png\" alt=\"Indian Railways Will Construct Underpasses\/Subways In 12 Hours, Across India\" class=\"wp-image-1307730\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-1024x618.png 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-768x463.png 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-1536x927.png 1536w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-29-at-11.08.19-AM-2048x1235.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, such underpasses will be built across the country at locations where a large number of people cross the tracks in their daily lives as directed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These underpasses need to be designed in such a way that they become a lifesaving alternative for people crossing railway tracks as instructed by the Union Minister to the officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In turn, these underpasses will ensure that common people can easily carry bicycles, motorcycles and other work-related items along with them, said the Railways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides this, this latest initiative will also help in preventing accidents during track crossings across the country and will prove to be a boon for a large section of the population, the Railways assured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Completing Railways\u2019 Subways\/Underpasses In 12 Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to the execution, these underpasses will be designed in such a way that their construction across railway tracks can be completed within just 12 hours. Moving forward, Vaishnaw directed the officials to resolve this major issue within the next 5-6 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For doing so, they will be manufacturing the structure at one place &amp; once it is done, it will be transported to the installation site.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They need to take a traffic block for the installation, during which the track will be cut and the structure installed within 12 hours, making it ready for use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, the Ministry of Railways said, \u201cThe structures will be pre-fabricated in advance and then installed at the site within a 12-hour block period.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, Vaishnaw emphasised that the design should be user-friendly so that people do not hesitate to use them, and that the structures should not be affected by waterlogging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.deccanherald.com\/india\/karnataka\/bengaluru\/oldest-railway-underpass-gives-commuters-real-creeps-675301.html\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a mission mode to prevent accidents while crossing track, the Ministry of Railways has planned the construction of underpasses.
