The Hinjewadi Shivaji Nagar Metro corridor, which is spread across about 23 km in Pune, is reportedly 94% finished. In fact, 13 stations along this route have been completed and are ready for passengers already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the same route, the work at around 15 to 17 stations has crossed 90% completion mark, with some construction<\/a> and system-related tasks pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hinjewadi\u2013Shivajinagar Metro Near Completion with 94% Work Done and Stations Ready<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Metro project is being carried out through a partnership with Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, whereas overall supervision is being handed by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, trial runs are also being actively carried out across the entire line to test the operations of the Metro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These trials will involve detailed technical and operational evaluation, so as to ensure that the system is safe and reliable before it opens for the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remaining work is to be finished by April 2026, as per the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metro Launch Awaits Final Clearance as Authorities Plan Phased or Full Opening After Inspections<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

However, the final launch of the metro will be done on receipt of an official clearance letter from the concessionaire. Once this approval is granted, officials will decide whether to begin services across the entire route at once or begin them in stages by opening some select stations first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When this particular Metro line becomes operational, it will be able to create an effortless commute for between Hinjewadi and Shivaji Nagar. IT professionals and daily commuters will be able to enjoy a significantly reduced travel time, thanks to this Metro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, this Metro will allow a more environmentally friendly alternative compared to road based transport. This Metro will also connect with the existing Pune Metro network at Shivaji Nagar, where people can connect to other areas of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have emphasised that thorough inspections will be conducted before the metro opens up for passengers, which include checking components, like signaling, power, supply, tracks, and station systems. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
