Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the distribution of seed capital to women under the MMUA initiative at an event in Boragaon, Guwahati. At the program, 5,155 women from the Jalukbari constituency received cheques of \u20b910,000 each to help them start small businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Launches Seed Capital Distribution for Women Entrepreneurs in Guwahati<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With this event, the government completed the distribution of entrepreneurship funds to 2,933,999 women across 119 assembly constituencies in Assam as part of a wider effort to promote women-led enterprises and strengthen the state\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same event, the Chief Minister introduced seven digital services aimed at improving administration in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. These included an online trade license system through the \u201cSewa Setu\u201d portal, an e-office system for digital file movement between blocks and districts, and an online service record platform for more than 11,900 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the government launched several other digital tools such as \u201cKarmasetu\u201d for communication and requests, \u201cHaat Tender\u201d to improve transparency in leasing markets and ghats, the \u201cContractual Employees\u2019 Pay Bill\u201d system for timely salary payments, the \u201cSmart Job Card\u201d system for workers to access job information on their phones, and the \u201cKaushal Connect\u201d mobile app linking skilled youth with service opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister also released an 855-page compilation titled \u201cChief Minister\u2019s Speech Collection 4 and 5,\u201d which includes 100 speeches delivered between May 2024 and March 2026 reflecting the state\u2019s development vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assam Government to Provide \u20b910,000 First Instalment to 3.2 Million Women Under Entrepreneurship Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While addressing the gathering, Sarma explained that under the \u201cChief Minister\u2019s Women Entrepreneurship Mission,\u201d the government aims to give \u20b910,000 as the first instalment to 3.2 million women to start businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative aims to help women become \u201cLakhpati Baideu,\u201d with further support of \u20b925,000 and \u20b950,000 after successful use of the first instalment. The government ultimately hopes each woman earns at least \u20b91 lakh annually, while those earning above \u20b910 lakh will be recognised as \u201cMaha Lakhpati Baideu.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
