The directive has triggered concern in the hospitality sector. Restaurants and hotel kitchens rely heavily on commercial LPG cylinders for daily cooking operations. With supplies suddenly restricted, many businesses are struggling to maintain normal operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry groups have warned that if the shortage continues, some restaurants may be forced to reduce operations or temporarily shut down kitchens<\/strong>, especially in large cities where commercial LPG demand is high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestic LPG Gets Top Priority<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The government\u2019s broader strategy is to prioritise cooking gas supply for households<\/strong> during the ongoing crisis. Officials have already ordered refineries to maximise LPG production from propane and butane streams and ensure that the fuel reaches domestic consumers first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have also increased the booking interval for domestic LPG cylinders\u2014from 21 days to 25 days<\/strong>\u2014to prevent panic buying and ensure fair distribution among households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Temporary Measure to Stabilise Supply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Officials indicate that these restrictions are temporary emergency measures<\/strong> aimed at stabilising the supply chain during a period of uncertainty. Essential services like hospitals and educational institutions have been prioritised to ensure that critical operations continue without disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the global situation improves and fuel supplies stabilise, commercial LPG distribution is expected to gradually return to normal levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
