Birth Certificate Mandatory for Some Applicants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest changes affects applicants born on or after October 1, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this category, the birth certificate will now be the only valid document accepted as proof of date of birth<\/strong> while applying for a passport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The birth certificate must be issued by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The Registrar of Births and Deaths<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A Municipal Corporation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
