{"id":1306173,"date":"2026-02-13T16:56:22","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T11:26:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1306173"},"modified":"2026-02-13T16:56:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T11:26:34","slug":"majority-of-white-collar-jobs-will-be-replaced-by-ai-in-12-months-microsoft-ai-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/majority-of-white-collar-jobs-will-be-replaced-by-ai-in-12-months-microsoft-ai-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Majority Of White Collar Jobs Will Be Replaced By AI In 12 Months. -Microsoft AI CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Most of the tasks which are performed in white-collar jobs will be fully automated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming 12 to 18 months, announced by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/world-news\/microsoft-ai-ceo-says-most-white-collar-jobs-to-be-replaced-with-ai-in-12-months-models-coding-better-than-humans-101770906229347-amp.html\">Microsoft<\/a> AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Untitled-design-37.jpg\" alt=\"Majority Of White Collar Jobs Will Be Replaced By AI In 12 Months. -Microsoft AI CEO\" class=\"wp-image-1306178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Untitled-design-37.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Untitled-design-37-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Untitled-design-37-768x357.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AI Replacing All The White Color Jobs In Next 12 Months&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The white-collar jobs like lawyers, accountants and project managers which involve sitting down at a computer, will be fully automated by an AI, said Suleyman during a media interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, he has given the reference of software engineering, where professionals are reportedly using AI to assist with the vast majority of their code production.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It appears that the role of engineers is now shifted to doing \u201cstrategic\u201d stuff, like architecting and putting things into production, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, this shift in job roles has taken place in the last six months, according to the expert.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can AI Models Code Better Than Humans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today there are AI models that can code better than the vast majority of human coders, \u201cmaybe even all of them to date,\u201d Suleyman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further highlighting that creating a new model will become as simple as \u201ccreating a podcast or writing a blog.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, institutions or organisations could be able to design an AI that suits their requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview, Suleyman said that AI agents will further be able to handle workflows of large institutions within the next two to three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Microsoft Aims To Build Superintelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, Suleyman said that his mission is to build a superintelligence while talking about his vision for Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has re-negotiated a long-term relationship with OpenAI, extending the IP license till 2032 a few months ago, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe also decided this was the moment we have to set about delivering true AI self-sufficiency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, Suleyman talked about developing their own foundation models of AI, which will have a good training team and will organise and sort all data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The timing of these comments are implacable as there are a lot of concerns that AI will replace human tasks and lead to widespread layoffs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent blog post, Amazon informed layoffs affecting as many as 16,000 corporate jobs amid &#8220;rising competition over AI.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft said that it has signed a new agreement with OpenAI, building on a \u2018strengthening partnership\u2019 between both organisations in its blog post last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most of the tasks which are performed in white-collar jobs will be fully automated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming 12 to 18 months, announced by the Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman on Thursday.
