After weeks of leaks and speculation, Google has officially confirmed that pre-orders for the Pixel 10a will begin globally on February 18, including in India. The announcement came via a brief teaser video on YouTube, marking an unusually early arrival for Google\u2019s A-series phones, which traditionally launch much later in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To drum up early interest, Google is offering a limited incentive. Users who sign up on the Google Store by February 13 at 1.29 pm IST<\/a> will receive an email on pre-order day detailing an offer applicable to a future purchase. While Google has not revealed the nature of the benefit, it appears designed more as an early-buyer nudge than a direct launch discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This accelerated timeline places the Pixel 10a strategically ahead of Samsung\u2019s next flagship cycle, including the Galaxy S26 series, while also positioning it against upcoming mid-range rivals such as the Nothing Phone 4a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the design and hardware front, the Pixel 10a holds few surprises. Visually, it closely resembles last year\u2019s Pixel 9a, retaining its metal frame, thick display bezels and a dual-camera module that now sits almost flush with the rear panel. An official image shows the phone in a soft lavender-blue colour, while earlier leaks by Roland Quandt suggested additional options like obsidian, berry, fog and lavender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood, Google appears to be playing it safe. Leaks indicate the Pixel 10a will continue with the Tensor G4 chip from the Pixel 9a rather than adopting the newer Tensor G5 expected in the flagship Pixel 10. Storage is tipped to remain UFS 3.1, with one of the few upgrades being a modest boost in display brightness. HDR brightness is said to reach 2,000 nits, up from 1,800 nits on the Pixel 9a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The phone is expected to feature a 6.285-inch Full HD+ plastic AMOLED display supporting both 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates. Camera specifications reportedly include a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 13MP front camera. It is said to offer 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, no microSD expansion and a 5,100mAh battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
