{"id":1305116,"date":"2026-01-21T08:37:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T03:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1305116"},"modified":"2026-01-21T08:38:43","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T03:08:43","slug":"toyota-introduces-its-safest-urban-cruiser-in-india-ebella","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/toyota-introduces-its-safest-urban-cruiser-in-india-ebella\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota Introduces Its Safest Urban Cruiser In India: Ebella"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Toyota has officially launched the new Urban Cruiser Ebella in India after a long wait, sharing all key details even though pricing has not yet been announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-21-at-8.34.27-AM-1024x619.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1305134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-21-at-8.34.27-AM-1024x619.png 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-21-at-8.34.27-AM-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-21-at-8.34.27-AM-768x464.png 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-21-at-8.34.27-AM.png 1446w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ebella is expected to become Toyota\u2019s safest SUV in India, despite Toyota not revealing any official crash test ratings for it yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Launch: India\u2019s Upcoming Safest Toyota SUV Awaiting Price Announcement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This safety expectation comes from the fact that the Ebella is Toyota\u2019s version of the Maruti e Vitara, which has already undergone crash testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maruti has unveiled the e Vitara but has also not announced its pricing, though it did reveal the vehicle\u2019s crash test results during its unveiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maruti has recently focused heavily on safety, with its new products achieving 5-star ratings at Bharat NCAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The e Vitara was tested at Bharat NCAP and received a full 5-star safety rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the crash tests, the e Vitara scored 31.49 out of 32 for adult safety and 43 out of 49 for child safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the Toyota Ebella is built on the same Heartect-e platform as the e Vitara, it is expected to achieve a similar safety rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If this happens, the Ebella will become the safest Toyota SUV in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toyota\u2019s current SUV lineup in India includes the Fortuner and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, but neither has been tested yet by Global NCAP or Bharat NCAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ebella: Specifications and Features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to a strong body structure, the Ebella comes equipped with several safety features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the e Vitara, the Ebella offers seven airbags as standard, which is uncommon in its segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other safety features include ISOFIX child seat mounts, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, hill hold assist, and additional safety technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ebella also includes premium and convenience features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional interior and comfort features include a JBL sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, reclining second-row seats, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ebella is offered with two battery pack options: a 49 kWh unit and a 61 kWh unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 49 kWh battery is paired with a motor producing 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, delivering a claimed driving range of 440 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 61 kWh battery is paired with a motor producing 172 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, with a claimed driving range of 543 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocarindia.com\/cars\/toyota\/urban-cruiser-ebella\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota has officially launched the new Urban Cruiser Ebella in India after a long wait, sharing all key details even though pricing has not yet been announced.
