Recently National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has made news after achieving two Guinness World Records for laying Bituminous Concrete on the Vanavolu-Vankarakunta section of the six-lane Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor during the construction of the Bengaluru\u2013Kadapa\u2013Vijayawada Expressway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Proud Moment for India <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this record, they have included around 29 lane kilometers which is the longest distance of Bituminous Concrete laid continuously within 24 hours, and over ten thousand metric tonnes, the highest quantity of Bituminous Concrete laid continuously within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This achievement was announced by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, who described it as a proud moment for both India and the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NHAI said that they are developing  the 343-kilometre-long Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor to strengthen inter-state connectivity between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in a social media post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative will also help in supporting trade, tourism, and regional economic growth through faster, safer, and uninterrupted mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These record-setting achievements reflect the country\u2019s growing capability and commitment to developing world-class National Highway infrastructure, said the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this, two more Guinness World Record attempts are currently underway on the Vanavolu-Vankarakunta-Odulapalle section of NH-544G, informed the NHAI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically this achievement reflects the vision of the Government of India and their strong focus on developing the world-class highway infrastructure under Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, the Chief Minister praised the engineers, workers, and field teams for their dedication and hard work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While posting on an X post, CM Naidu said, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday, NHAI, through M\/s Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd., achieved two Guinness World Records on the Bengaluru\u2013Kadapa\u2013Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) by laying 28.95 lane-kilometres and 10,675 MT of Bituminous Concrete continuously within 24 hours.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further adding, \u201cThis extraordinary achievement reflects the vision of the Government of India, the sustained thrust on world-class highway infrastructure under Nitin Gadkari Ji, and the exceptional commitment of engineers, workers, and field teams. It was executed in full compliance with stringent NHAI quality standards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
