A piece of good news for the for the Indian Railways travellers as Vande Bharat train Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw instructed officials to introduce region-specific local cuisine on Vande Bharat trains on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vande Bharat Train Menu Getting A Makeover <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vande Bharat seems to be all set to serve the local Cuisine to the passengers during the journeys under its major upgrade to the food menu on Vande Bharat trains reportedly<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that the passengers travelling on these trains may soon be able to relish local cuisines from the regions they pass through as the menu on Vande Bharat trains is set to get an upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this initiative, the authorities aims to reflect regional culture and tastes during the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They aim to highlight the importance of regional culture, food, and taste, under this initiative which was reportedly issued during a review meeting held at Rail Bhawan attended by Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh Bittu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does It Help?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, introduction of local cuisine is not just about food, the idea is to offer passengers a unique journey where they can taste the flavours of the regions they are travelling through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, they have announced this initiative and now authorities are working to launch and gradually expand it across trains in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that IRCTC has also commenced the meal trials on selected trains under Proof of Concept (PoC) meal trials on select Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat Express trains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these trials, they aim to improve the  onboard meal quality, upgrade kitchen infrastructure, streamline meal production, and enhance the transfer and service of meals across the supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, the decision to serve local cuisine on Vande Bharat trains looks attractive and passengers may soon enjoy region-specific meals even before reaching their destination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So can expect in future that the Indian Railways travellers in southern regions could be served idlis and dosa, while those passing through western regions may be offered dishes like dhokla and thepla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, this initiative is expected to make train journeys more culturally immersive in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
