Google Denying Reports Of Ads In Gemini <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its popularity has increased in such a manner that the OpenAI CEO Sam Altman decided to declare a company-wide code red and work on a new LLM codenamed \u201cGarlic\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, a recent media report claimed that Google was working with advertisers to bring ads to the platform owing to Gemini\u2019s increasing popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further media reported that the tech giant is in talks with two advertising clients to bring ads to the AI chatbot sometime next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this, the Vice President of Global Ads at Google, Dan Taylor, said that the \u201cstory is based on uninformed, anonymous sources who are making inaccurate claims\u201d in a post on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, Google Gemini<\/a> Ads rumours have been firmly quashed by a top executive, they have dismissed the reports of a 2026 rollout as \u201cinaccurate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While quelling the growing speculations, Google has categorically denied that it is planning to introduce advertisements into its flagship AI platform, Gemini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These rumours have set the tech world abuzz, which suggested that the search giant was preparing to monetise the chatbot by inserting ads as early as 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, Dan Taylor, shut down these claims in their X (formerly Twitter) post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Did This Happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This controversy started after an Adweek report cited anonymous agency buyers who claimed Google had briefed them on upcoming ad placements within the Gemini web and mobile apps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving ahead, this move was intended to open a new revenue stream beyond the current subscription and API models as speculated in the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here it is noteworthy that they did not mince words in their rebuttal, describing the reports as \u201cuninformed\u201d and \u201cinaccurate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere are no ads in the Gemini app, and there are no current plans to change that,\u201d Taylor stated explicitly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that these speculations were partly fuelled by industry movements, particularly rumours that rival OpenAI is testing advertisements for ChatGPT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it is known, there is a high operational cost involved in running advanced AI models like the Gemini 3. So, analysts believed it was only a matter of time before Google followed suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now, the company insists that the user experience will remain ad-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it can not be denied that the potential for Google Gemini Ads remains a logical future step for a company built on advertising revenue, Google\u2019s current stance is clear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here Google is most probably trying to build user trust and market share by publicly committing to an ad-free experience for now in the fiercely competitive AI landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is distancing itself from the commercialisation strategies of its peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
