{"id":1303497,"date":"2025-12-10T09:24:37","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1303497"},"modified":"2025-12-10T09:27:50","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:57:50","slug":"maharashtra-govt-will-build-farm-to-field-roads-for-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/maharashtra-govt-will-build-farm-to-field-roads-for-farmers\/","title":{"rendered":"Maharashtra Govt Will Build Farm-To-Field Roads For Farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Maharashtra Cabinet approved the \u2018Mukhyamantri Baliraja Shet-Pandan Rasta Yojana\u2019, which aims to build all-weather, motorable farm-to-field roads across rural Maharashtra through fully mechanised construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"968\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-10-at-9.23.57-AM.png\" alt=\"Maharashtra Govt Will Build Farm-To-Field Roads For Farmers\" class=\"wp-image-1303515\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-10-at-9.23.57-AM.png 968w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-10-at-9.23.57-AM-300x172.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-10-at-9.23.57-AM-768x441.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 968px) 100vw, 968px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Maharashtra Approves New Scheme for All-Weather Farm-to-Field Roads<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme\u2019s goal is to improve connectivity between farms and villages and <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/cities\/mumbai\/maharashtra-cabinet-approves-scheme-to-provide-motorable-roads-for-farmers-connectivity-between-fields-and-villages-10408541\/\">remove delays in transporting agricult<\/a>ural goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It intends to make transportation easier, accessible, and affordable for farmers so they can reach markets without difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials expect the new scheme to eliminate long-standing challenges that existed under the earlier MGNREGA road-construction framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who heads the monitoring committee, said farmers have struggled \u201cfor decades\u201d with muddy and damaged approach roads that become unusable during monsoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stated that the scheme will ensure durable roads reaching every farm, enabling timely sowing, smooth harvesting, and faster movement of produce to markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan allows 100 per cent use of machinery to ensure fast, high-quality construction and reduce reliance on manual labour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scheme Calls for Immediate Removal of Encroachments on Marked Village Roads<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme mandates the immediate removal of any encroachments on roads marked in village maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also includes \u201cmandatory tree plantation on both sides of every road (Bihar pattern or through MGNREGA),\u201d according to an official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the official, \u201cMandatory tree plantation on both sides of every road (Bihar pattern or through MGNREGA) will be done under the scheme. Dedicated funding will be provided through cluster-based tendering (25-km clusters) to ensure rapid execution.
