The rake is scheduled to be handed over to Indian Railways on December 12 for trial runs on the Delhi\u2013Patna route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Railway officials confirmed that preparations at the Danapur division are in the final stages, and all technical clearances are being fast-tracked to meet the targeted launch timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coach Configuration and Passenger Capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vande Bharat Sleeper will feature <strong>16 modern coaches<\/strong> with a total capacity of <strong>827 berths<\/strong>. The breakup includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>611 berths in Third AC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>188 berths in Second AC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24 berths in First AC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the rake has been designed with scalability in mind. If demand rises sharply, the coach strength can be expanded to <strong>24 coaches<\/strong> in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advanced Interior Design and Safety Features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Passenger comfort has been given top priority in the sleeper variant. Key features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automatic sliding doors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bio-vacuum toilets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CCTV surveillance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individual reading lights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Premium interiors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the safety front, the train will operate at a maximum speed of <strong>160 kmph<\/strong> and will be equipped with the indigenous <strong>Kavach<\/strong> safety system, along with a crash-resistant structure for enhanced protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Likely Schedule on the Delhi\u2013Patna Corridor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The train is expected to operate on lines similar to the <strong>New Delhi\u2013Rajendra Nagar Tejas Rajdhani Express<\/strong>. It is likely to run <strong>six days a week<\/strong>, departing from Rajendra Nagar Terminal in the evening and arriving in Delhi the next morning. The return service is expected to follow a similar overnight schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Major Upgrade for Bihar\u2013Delhi Rail Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once introduced, the Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to significantly improve travel quality for business travellers, students, migrants and families frequently commuting between Delhi and Bihar.
