The announcement left thousands of passengers stranded with little clarity, long queues, and mounting frustration across terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cancellations follow significant crew shortages and operational constraints linked to new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms that restrict late-night flying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bengaluru: 102 Flights Cancelled in a Single Morning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bengaluru\u2019s <strong>Kempegowda International Airport<\/strong> was equally affected, with <strong>102 IndiGo flights cancelled early Friday<\/strong> alone.<br>Several incoming flights were also delayed or rerouted, intensifying congestion on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IndiGo Warns: More Cuts From December 8<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To stabilise operations, IndiGo has informed the DGCA that it will <strong>curtail flight schedules from December 8<\/strong>, expecting delays and cancellations to continue for the next <strong>2\u20133 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The carrier told regulators that its <strong>flight operations will be fully normal only by February 10, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Airline Seeks Exemption From Night-Flying Norms<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>IndiGo has asked the DGCA for temporary exemption from the newly enforced rules restricting night-time landings.<br>To secure this relief, IndiGo must submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>detailed recruitment roadmap<\/strong> for pilots and cabin crew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on upcoming <strong>aircraft inductions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plans for <strong>training<\/strong>, <strong>rostering<\/strong>, and <strong>fatigue management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulator is currently reviewing the airline\u2019s request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IndiGo Issues Public Apology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in the evening, IndiGo posted an apology on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging the \u201cwidespread disruption across its network.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline said it is working closely with the <strong>Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA)<\/strong>, <strong>DGCA<\/strong>, <strong>BCAS<\/strong>, <strong>AAI<\/strong>, and airport authorities to restore normalcy and reduce the cascading delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite these assurances, passengers across India continue to face cancelled flights, lost connections, and long waiting hours\u2014marking one of IndiGo\u2019s most disruptive operational phases in recent memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s largest airline, IndiGo, continues to face massive operational turbulence as widespread delays and cancellations entered the fourth consecutive day on Friday, December 5, 2025.
